During fuel refueling, hose assemblies can be exposed to unintended loads caused by towing events, potentially causing hoses to rupture and leading to large leaks. DRIPLEX Marine BreakAway Couplings are designed to prevent and reduce leakage in such events.
Marine BreakAway Couplings are designed to break only with a pre-calculated force axially. Marine BreakAway Couplings are mounted only between two hoses. The coupling elements, being the weakest link of the loading or unloading system, are designed to break first. This ensures the safety of the hoses and the environment.
